In the Children’s Elevator project, Arkki teachers organized a workshop commissioned by a private company, where children from an upcoming daycare were able to influence the design of the daycare’s elevator. The children conceptualized their designs using a 1:1 scale model of the elevator space. The children’s designs were incorporated into the elevator’s construction. Of course, the children also had the opportunity to use the completed elevator.
