The goal of advanced architecture studies is for pupils to deepen their relationship with the art field according to their own goals. Architecture is treated as an art field in a versatile manner, and the work is based on deepening the knowledge and skills learned in basic education. The studies reinforce skills in artistic thinking and expression and delve more deeply into current architectural phenomena that stem from the pupils’ own interests. Advanced studies also include a final project, where students have the opportunity to explore a chosen topic and thereby integrate what they have learned in architecture studies.
Advanced studies are intended for pupils over 14 years old who have completed their basic studies. The education is provided in groups of 12 pupils. The groups meet once a week for two lessons (2 x 45 minutes).
In the advanced architecture studies semester includes 15 x 90 min of teaching and also independent work at home. Each semester, a trip to a topical destination is made for one or two lessons. There are 14 or 15 meetings per semester, depending on the duration of the trip.
