- Early Childhood…
The starting point for early childhood architecture education is the child’s experiences of their own environment. Joyful, experiential, and insightful exploration of architecture lays the foundation that inspires children to express their own observations, views, and ideas. Architectural phenomena are explored through play and movement, exploration and experimentation, and the application of artistic means of expression. The activities emphasize multi-sensory observation, exploratory work, design practice, and three-dimensional construction.
Early childhood architecture education is intended for 4–6-year-olds. In this program, children are introduced to the world of architecture and work together with a parent or other familiar adult in groups of 10 pupils. The groups meet once a week for two lessons (2 x 45 minutes), 12 times during the semester.
