Rules for Pupils
Architecture studies are a fun hobby for children and young people. Pupils are encouraged to get to know each other during their studies so that group work goes smoothly and everyone can get good ideas from others. When there are a dozen enthusiastic architecture enthusiasts, noise and chaos can easily get out of hand. To ensure that studying is safe and fun, it is important to follow the common rules. It is good to review the following rules at home as well!

Do pupils get to take their work home from Arkki?
Pupils’ works are usually sent home as soon as they are completed. Some works may be kept for the autumn or spring exhibition. Works that were part of the exhibition can be collected from the school at the announced time. Uncollected works will need to be discarded due to limited storage space and thorough seasonal cleaning.
What happens to lost and found items left at Arkki?
Each year, various items like caps, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and even sweaters and jackets are left behind at Arkki’s locations. Lost and found items can be inquired about at teaching sites from the teaching staff or at Arkki’s office. Unclaimed lost and found items will be donated to a recycling center at the end of the school year.
My child’s current group no longer fits our schedule. Can my child switch groups?
Yes, it is possible to switch groups in Arkki by sending a message to info@arkki.fi. The study secretary can assist in finding a suitable new group.
My child should move to the older children’s group next term. What should I do?
You can wait patiently for the study secretary to contact you. Each spring, Arkki handles the age-level transfers of pupils, and a suitable group for your child will be suggested. You do not need to contact the office yourself. It is advisable to follow the spring information email. All parents will be contacted in the spring about their child’s upcoming group in the fall, even if an age-level transfer is not relevant.
Is a certificate provided for the studies completed at Arkki?
All completed studies are recorded in the student registry. Upon completion of basic studies, a certificate will be provided upon request. A certificate of advanced studies requires a final project to be completed. The final certificate also serves as a confirmation of the completion of the entire extensive curriculum. If studies are interrupted, a participation certificate or a transcript of records can be obtained upon request.
Why is permission for photographing and publishing asked for?
Pupil works and teaching situations are documented during the school year. Photos may be used, for example, on Arkki’s own website, in advertisements, posters, notices, or newspaper articles. Permission for photographing and publishing is requested at the time of registration.
