Basic Art Education at the Arkki School of Architecture for Children and Youth is goal-oriented, progresses year by year, and is tied to the national curriculum guidelines. The contents of the education are drawn from the students’ own environments, current phenomena, and the inspiring worlds of architecture. The goal is for pupils to become excited about nurturing and developing their relationship with the environment, environmental literacy, design and expression skills, and civic participation skills.

The study path outlines the progression and structure of the studies, which are divided into early childhood architecture education for 4–6-year-olds, basic architecture education for 7–14-year-olds, and advanced architecture studies. Arkki’s curriculum describes in more detail the goals, contents, and factors guiding the organization of education.
